Complex carbohydrates are a better choice because they are high in fiber and they take longer to break down in your digestive system. This too is helpful for you metabolism.

In general you should be eating a portioned meal containing a lean protein source, a complex carbohydrate and some healthy fats. Don’t forget to add veggies to your plate as this is very beneficial to digestion and balancing your meals.
